Anne Gwynne - lives on in the hearts of her family & fans and in her motion pictures

1918 - 2003

Anne Gwynne, who starred in many classic Universal horror films of the 1940s, passed away March 31 after suffering a stroke following surgery at the Motion Picture Country Hospital in Woodland Hills, California

Anne Gwynne was always gratified to know just how far and wide interest in her career had spread.  She always appreciated her fans, and continued to go to collector shows, meeting and greeting fans, signing pictures, and having her picture taken with fans, up until the last year of her life.

For more than 60 years -- from her first professional assignments as a fashion & swimsuit model until her passing in 2003 -- fans from around the world continually expressed their affection for Anne, through fan mail and at Celebrity shows.  Ms. Gwynne was always appreciative and grateful to her fans.

The wonder of 'the silver screen', of motion pictures, is the continued popularity of film makers from generation to generation, especially actresses and actors.  AnneGwynne.com representatives saw first-hand at the 2005 Monster Bash just such an occurrence.

The youngest fan to appear at the Anne Gwynne memorabilia table, run by Anne Gwynne's children, was a 12 year old young film fan who was remarkably aware of Anne Gwynne's films, and was a sincere fan of Ms. Gwynne.  An extraordinary comment on the 'magic', the charisma, the magnetism, of actress
Anne Gwynne.

In this exceptional way, Anne Gwynne will live on in the hearts and minds of fans, for as long as there are motion pictures. And that's forever.
